Mary J. Blige has allegedly pulled the plug on her near-13-year marriage to husband and manager Kendu Isaacs.

The famous singer has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for filing the divorce, according to TMZ. It is said that the documents also ask the judge to block Isaac’s ability to get spousal support; although, a prenup is not specified.
Back in 2014, Blige revealed to Stella Magazine the challenges of marrying her manager: “He always has my back – he’s going to fight to the death for Mary J. Blige. The downside is that there’s no separation – it’s on all the time. When you don’t feel like answering to your manager, he’s still your husband.”
She also mentioned in the interview that her husband was not allowed to have female friends: “All females for me, all guys for him… There’s none of that, ‘Oh, that’s my female friend. Oh, that’s my guy friend.’ No. Not in a marriage, I’ve never seen that work.”
