Zac Efron may have crushed the hearts of fans everywhere after admitting that dating is not his thing.

In an interview with The Times, the “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” star explained that his celebrity means he will never make a true first impression: “Dating is something I’ll never be able to do… As in the dictionary definition of dating, because one way or another I’ve impacted that person’s life and they’ll soon realize it… A date has to be very long to dispel whatever people think of me.”
Efron and his girlfriend Sami Miro broke up after nearly two years, but the singles game has not been as big of a success as one may think. He even gave Tinder a try: “Amazingly, when I signed up for Tinder, nobody swiped me! They thought [my profile] was fake.”
He also opened up about his past struggles with depression and why he strays from social media: “I lost my mind because of the internet. I’d read 30 positive things and one bad thing, then I’d harbor that bad thing. It drove me crazy.”

The 28-year-old actor has been working on the upcoming “Baywatch” reboot with Dwayne Johnson.
