After rumours claiming that R. Kelly is dating 19-year-old model Halle Calhoun, many outraged Twitter users took to the social network slamming the 49-year-old R&B singer’s preference for much younger women.
The singer’s dalliances have often created controversy, with Vibe magazine reporting that he had illegally married a then 15-year-old Aaliyah in 1994 at the age of 27.
And in 2002, video of the rapper having intercourse with an underage girl emerged. A jury would eventually acquit him of the crime, but R. Kelly has yet to shake his shocking reputation.
R. Kelly and Calhoun were allegedly spotted enjoying each other’s company at Gold Room in Atlanta over the weekend. The singer has also made it onto the model’s Instagram feed, with Calhoun calling him “the realist” and “the dopest in the game.”
