When Dwayne Johnson took some of his “Fast 8” co-stars to task (without mentioning them by name) for acting unprofessionally on the set of the forthcoming sequel, jaws dropped as fans began wondering which actors he was talking about.
In fact, TMZ is reporting that Johnson’s co-stars — both male and female — are ticked off because filming of “Fast 8” wraps next week, with one unnamed star telling TMZ, “This is a hell of a way to end it.”
In his incendiary Facebook post, “The Rock” blasts certain co-stars as “candy asses” and calls them ouf for “chicken s***” behaviour.
“One source who is embedded in the production tells us there have been various conflicts because of ‘extreme egos’ among most of the top actors, with the help of their agents and lawyers,” reports TMZ. “But we’re told none of the actors felt the public criticism was appropriate.”
Meanwhile, speculation is rife as to which actors Johnson was singling out, with TMZ claiming sources eliminating Ludacris and Tyrese, “but all of the others are possibilities,” a list that includes Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Scott Eastwood and others (although a source close to ET Canada adds that he was not referring to Statham).
A source on the set tells TMZ that Johnson hasn’t commented about his remarks while on set today, but a “source with knowledge of the situation tells TMZ, we can expect something on social media today that will clarify things.”
