Ed Sheeran is under hot fire for allegedly using elements of Marvin Gaye’s music in Sheeran’s hit song “Thinking Out Loud”.
The British singer is accused of stealing the melody, harmony and rhythm of the ultra-popular song “Let’s Get It On”, according to TMZ.
The party behind the lawsuit are reportedly the heirs of Ed Townsend. Townsend co-wrote the 1973 smash with Gaye.
This is not the first time Sheeran has been faced with a lawsuit. He was sued earlier this year for allegedly using parts of another songwriter’s work for his song “Photograph”.
