After months of hype, “Suicide Squad” fans were disappointed to see how few scenes Jared Leto’s The Joker featured in over the course of the movie.  Now, co-star Margot Robbie is offering up an explanation.

Robbie, who plays The Joker’s lover Harley Quinn, insists that filmmakers shot so much backstory for her character and The Joker, it was inevitable that it all wouldn’t make it to the final cut.

When asked if there was enough for a potential spin-off for a story focused on The Joker and Harley Quinn, Robbie didn’t rule it out.
