Staff at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital are saying “thank you” to Gord Downie, The Tragically Hip and donors to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research.

In a new YouTube video, the staff gather around a giant heart with the words “Thank You” painted in the grass outside the hospital. They sing a snippet of the Hip’s 1992 single “Courage”, which includes the lyrics, “Courage/It couldn’t come at a worse time.”
