Donald Glover is adamant his new FX series “Atlanta” will come with an important message.
While attending a panel discussion at the 2016 Summer TCA Tour on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, California, the Childish Gambino rapper, who will be acting, writing, and executive-producing the series, explained the idea behind the show.

“The thesis with this show was to show people what it’s like to be black, and you can’t write that down. You have to feel it,” the 32-year-old actor explained, as transcribed by IndieWire. “The tonal aspect was really important to me.”
Glover was joined at the event by his co-stars, Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Stanfield, and Zazie Beetz, as well as writer and executive producer Paul Simms and producer and director Hiro Murai.
