In Very Good Girls, the directorial debut of Naomi Foner (mother of Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal), Elizabeth Olsen and Dakota Fanning play two best friends who vow to lose their virginity during their summer break.
Despite the fact that the two live in New York, a city with a population of eight million people (at least a few of which must be eligible young men), the two both fall in love with a 30-year-old ice cream vendor/photographer (Boyd Holbrook), a development which threatens to ruin their friendship.
Peter Sarsgaard, Foner’s son-in-law, plays Fanning’s pervert boss, while Demi Moore, Richard Dreyfuss, Ellen Barkin and Clark Gregg also co-star.
Very Good Girls will enter limited release on July 25.
