According to The Globe and Mail, a source close to Drake has confirmed that the rapper’s people plan to give fellow Canadian and gold medalist Penny Oleksiak sold-out concert tickets.
Drizzy all but confirmed the rumour himself, sharing a victorious photo of Oleksiak on his Instagram. In the photo’s caption, he congratulated her and promised to see her at a show.
The 16-year-old Olympian swam her way to victory in the 100-metre freestyle in Rio on Thursday night. She revealed on Twitter that she and fellow swim-team medalist Kylie Masse had tried to purchase tickets to Drake’s show online – only to discover the event was sold out.
The apparent source assured that Drake would make sure the Canadian gold medalist would be taken care of. Even Toronto Mayor John Tory had agreed to help Oleksiak procure the tickets.

Drizzy will perform at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on October 8.
