Bowling menace The Jesus will return for a spin-off of “The Big Lebowski”.

John Turturro, who played the menacing bowler in the 1998 Coen Brothers comedy, will direct and star in the new film.  “Going Places” will be a crime caper featuring The Jesus with a plot based on the 1974 French comedy “Les Valseuses”.

Turturro has already lined up a number of stars including Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tatou, and Susan Sarandon.  Cannavale will play petey, who together with his partner-in-crime The Jesus, embark on a mission to give a woman (Tatou) her first orgasm.

The Coen Brothers have never been on-bard with a sequel to “The Big Lebowski”, though The Dude himself, Jeff Bridges, has said he’d be game to reprise his role in a future film.  it’s unclear whether Turturro has their blessing on his spin-off or if he has the rights to use the character’s full name of Jesus Quintana.
