We already know Zendaya has been cast in the upcoming “Spider-Man” reboot, and insiders tell The Wrap that her role will be a key one (spoiler alert: don’t read any further if you don’t want to find out about the iconic character she’ll be playing).
According to “two individuals with knowledge of the project”, the former Disney Channel star will be taking on the role of Peter Parker’s love interest Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Marvel flick, featuring newcomer Tom Holland as your friendly neighbourhood web-slinger.

Moviegoers witnessed Holland’s debut as teenage Spidey in “Captain America: Civil War”, and the upcoming franchise flick boasts a cast including Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Bokeen Woodbine, Robert Downey Jr. (as Tony Stark/Iron Man, of course) and Marisa Tomei as a far-hotter Aunt May than the grey-haired senior citizen introduced in the comic books.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” is set to hit theatres on July 7, 2017.
