The 18-year-old daughter of Christie Brinkley experienced the nasty side of social media when the former supermodel posted an Instagram pic of herself and daughter Sailor that unleashed an inexplicable barrage of negative comments.
After Sailor responded with a lenghty post of her own — “I’m just a person figuring out what i want to do and what makes me happy. Leave me alone,”she wrote. “Let’s just f***in spread love you guys. And pleaseeeee stop trolling me” — now her mom is giving her an online shout-out and sharing her hope that social media will become kinder.
“If you’re reading this on a smart phone, You are holding a powerful tool in the palm of your hand,” writes Brinkley. “It has the power to shape people’s lives, self esteem,and confidence. It can make them feel good, or scar them for life.”
She adds: “Let’s all choose to use this machine to make the world a kinder more beautiful place. Let’s choose to create beauty, through mutual respect, compassion and love.
