Ben Affleck is in talks to direct and star in a remake of the 1957 film, “Witness For The Prosecution”.
Based on a short story by Agatha Christie, a veteran prosecutor must defend his client in a murder trail which delivers surprise after surprise. Tyrone Power and Marlene Dietrich starred in the original film directed by Billy Wilder. The movie was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, but failed to win any. Affleck may have better luck with his contemporary version, which he’s also set to produce alongside Matt Damon.
