The Weeknd is back in the studio working on new music and according to a new video from Billboard, he’s been collaborating with none other than Daft Punk.
Republic Records executive VP Wendy Goldstein revealed the news as part of a new “Hitmakers Roundtable” discussion. When asked who she would love to work with, she answered, “actually, we have a session coming up in two days with The Weeknd and Daft Punk,” Goldstein told Billboard. “I’m a massive Daft Punk fan, and this is the first time that I’ve actually been involved with an artist who’s going to go and work with them.”
The Weeknd seemingly confirmed the news himself when he posted a photo of two silver robots to his Facebook page on August 17.
