The professional wrestling world is mourning the death of Harry Fujiwara, known to generations of wrestling fans by his ring name, Mr. Fuji.

According to the WWE, the five-time WWE World Tag Team champion and Hall of Fame wrestler passed away this morning at age 82.

Fujiwara’s career with the WWE spanned more than 30 years, including stints as a wrestler and, later, as a manager. In the ring, Mr. Fuji was notorious for concealing small bags full of salt that he would throw into his opponents’ eyes when the referee wasn’t looking.

After he retired from wrestling, Mr. Fuji managed a an array of WWE stars, including George “The Animal” Steele, Kamala, Killer Khan, Demolition, The Powers of Pain, Yokozuna and “Magnificent” Don Muraco.

 

WWE grappler Triple H took to Twitter to offer his condolences.
