It was a tough act to follow, but Britney Spears managed to impress the VMA crowd shortly after Beyonce’s outstanding “Lemonade” performance.

“Tonight we have the pleasure of seeing what she’ll do next. Ladies and gentleman, making her triumphant return to the VMAs stage — it’s Britney, b**ch!” Kim Kardashian said as she introduced the pop icon to the stage.

Slipping into a sparkling chartreuse leotard, and showing off her insanely chiselled body, the princess of pop made a sexy return to the VMAs as she performed her sultry new hit, “Make Me”, alongside G-Eazy.

The singer transitioned midway through into the rapper’s 2015 single “Me, Myself & I” as she took over for Bebe Rexha.
