Kacey Musgraves has made a habit of following her arrow and lately that directional device has been pointing at pop megastar Katy Perry.
Katy and Kacey have shared a Billboard cover, they’re set to pair up for a tour (Kacey’s slated to support Katy for the looming U.S. leg of her Prismatic World Tour) and tonight the two will align forces on CMT Crossroads.
The country-minded music program features Katy and Kacey performing a number of songs together, sharing hits from both of their catalogues, plus any ol’ cover that suits their fancy. (From the initial looks of things, the duo will not be swapping costumes at all.) Tracks getting the tag-team treatment include “Teenage Dream,”; “Follow Your Arrow”; and “Roar.”; There’s also a Dolly Parton classic in the mix because that seems like a sensible slice of common ground between the two performers.
