Move over, Chelsea Handler, you won’t be the only star hosting a talk show on Netflix now that the streaming giant has announced plans to launch a new chat-fest built around Bill Nye the Science Guy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has ordered “Bill Nye Saves the World,” which “will explore science and its impact on politics, society and pop culture. Each episode will tackle a different topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.”

Scheduled to debut in spring 2017, Nye’s talker will include special guests and scientific experiments that will ultimately prove whatever point is being made in that episode.

As THR notes, “Bill Nye Saves the World” is Nye’s first TV series since 1998, after the five-year run of his PBS educational show “Bill Nye the Science Guy”, which aired from 1993-’98 and won 19 Emmys along the way. Subsequent TV gigs include a guest spot on “The Big Bang Theory” and a short-lived stint on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2013.

“Since the start of the ‘Science Guy’ show, I’ve been on a mission to change the world by getting people everywhere excited about the fundamental ideas in science,” Nye said in the announcement. “Today, I’m excited to be working with Netflix on a new show, where we’ll discuss the complex scientific issues facing us today, with episodes on vaccinations, genetically modified foods and climate change. With the right science and good writing, we’ll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience. And, perhaps we’ll change the world a little.”
