Being an internationally famous superstar certainly has its perks, but the flip side is being relentlessly pursued by paparazzi and fans clamouring for selfies and autographs whenever a star goes out in public.

Britney Spears has clearly made her peace with the downside of fame, but hopes her sons don’t grow up to be famous, making the revelation during an appearance on The Cooper Lawrence Show, reports Us Weekly.

Discussing that her sons, aged nine and 10, are starting to get a grasp of the unusual job their mom has, she admitted she hopes they don’t have to endure the same level of celebrity when they grow up.

“I think the magnitude of it and the fame thing, I don’t think they’ve really comprehended what that would even be like,” Spears said. “Hopefully they never will, because it’s kind of [too] much.”
