Jann Arden is apologizing to fans after sharing a post to her social media that seemed to offend viewers.
The Canadian singer-songwriter shared a photo to social media last week of her mother and dog bundled up, which she captioned, “My Eskimo family.”
The term “Eskimo” seemed to enrage fans, who called the word outdated and insensitive to Indigenous people.
At first, Arden showed no remorse over Twitter, calling people’s upset an instance of overworked political correctness.
However, by Saturday, the Calgary-born songstress gave an apology and changed the caption for the photo to “My Inuit family.”
