It’s hard to remember a time when an N.W.A. biopic wasn’t in the works, but now the wheels finally seem to be in motion to get the flick on the big screen.
The upcoming film has already cast the man that will play Ice Cube (Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson scored the part) and Billboard is reporting that the actors set to play Dr. Dre and Eazy-E have also been chosen.
The two juicy roles have been awarded to a pair of relative unknowns. Dr. Dre will be played by Corey Hawkins and Eazy-E will be portrayed by Jason Mitchell. Word is that Mitchell scored the job after absolutely slaying the audition.
Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Eazy-E’s widow Tomica Wright have all been active in the casting process and possess veto power over production decisions.
