Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston have allegedly ended their budding relationship after just three months, People confirms.
The famous couple, who were questioned on the authenticity of their romance since day one, have come to a close as multiple sources have come forward with speculation of their split. “It was an amicable split,” a source told People.
“She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship,” another source told Us Weekly. “Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with.”
The source continued, “Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection, but Tom didn’t listen to her concerns when she brought them up.” The source adds that Hiddleston is reportedly “embarrassed that the relationship fizzled out.”
The pop star, 26, and actor, 35, were first linked dancing together at the 2016 Met Gala in May, and were spotted getting close on the beach near Swift’s Rhode Island home, just two weeks after she broke up with her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris, 32.
The two were then spotted travelling around the globe to places including, Nashville, England, Rome and Australia, where Hiddleston was seen shooting scenes for his upcoming film “Thor: Ragnarok”. They also spent the Fourth of July together at Swift’s annual star-studded bash.
While Hiddleston denied rumours that their relationship was a publicity stunt to The Hollywood Reporter in July, saying, “The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together and we’re very happy,” the pair have not been spotted together since dining at Santa Monica’s Hillstone restaurant on July 28.
