Drake was hopping mad when one of the tour buses on his Summer Sixteen tour was ripped off, with thieves reportedly making off with an estimated $3 million worth of jewelry.
According to TMZ, the Toronto rapper “went ballistic” when he learned that thieves snuck onto a bus and stole a briefcase containing “millions of dollars in jewelry” belonging to Future the Prince, who is Drake’s DJ on the tour.
TMZ obtained footage of what appears to be Drake arriving on the scene — and he does not look happy:
Hours after the news emerged, Phoenix police report that they’ve arrested and charged a suspect, 21-year-old Travion King.
“The property has been recovered as well, and officers will be working with the victim to account for the items reported stolen,” says the Phoenix PD in a statement. “Surveillance footage assisted with identifying King who has done contract work with local venues in the past.”
Oddly enough, King had already been arrested early this morning, for trespassing on the campus of Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, and the suspect was already in jail when police discovered his whereabouts. “He is in the process of being re-booked into jail on the new charges,” notes the police statement.
