In an exclusive interview with ET Canada, the late Corey Haim’s mother Judy opens up about how Corey Feldman is opening old wounds.
The memory of the late actor is being brought up, after his longtime friend Feldman is striking Hollywood executives for abuse allegations. Feldman revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that there was a pedophile ring in Hollywood that abused both him and Haim when they were child actors.
But Haim’s mother Judy wants nothing more than to leave her son’s memory be.
“Do you fear, is it a dangerous thing to even go into that [abuse] territory?” asks ET Canada’s Cheryl Hickey.
“Yeah… yeah it actually is,” says Judy.
Judy also questions Feldman’s accounts, when it came down to certain memories of her son – like how he died. As Feldman remembers it; “She [Judy] told me that he [Corey] wasn’t feeling well and that he gonna go get a drink of water… he laid back down and died,” says Feldman.
But Judy fires back, saying: “I never told him about a glass of water, you know why? Because that’s not the way it happened. So, why would he say that? There were lots of little things, doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
However, a rep for Feldman explains that “Corey told the full story” during taping of the segment, “but as you know, production and editing is something we can’t control. The producers cut and edited the episode as they wanted and to best fit their needs. As such, conversations were cut and edited and made some of Corey’s comments out of context.”
