Amid the tidal wave of upcoming female superhero films, Anne Hathaway told Variety she would love to reprise her role as Catwoman from “The Dark Knight Rises”: “I love that character so much and I had such a blast playing it.”
Despite her interest, and hype for upcoming movies like “Wonder Woman” and “Captain Marvel”, Hathaway isn’t so sure the opportunity is there: “I’m not sure how it would work because I think the Chris Nolan chapter of the Batman story has been wrapped up and I’m part of that… So I don’t know, but I love the DC Universe and it would be fun to take a trip back.”
More likely, she would like to help guide the next generation of Catwoman: “I was shown such generosity from Halle [Berry] and from Michelle [Pfeiffer], and so I would do that the next time as well.”

Fans of the 33-year-old actress can next spot Hathaway in “Colossal”, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday.
