Questions about the health of Hillary Clinton have dogged the campaign of the presidential candidate and hit a fever pitch when the former First Lady apparently collapsed Sunday while appearing at a 9/11 memorial ceremony in Manhattan.

According to multiple sources, Clinton appeared to faint during the ceremony and was quickly whisked away to daughter Chelsea’s nearby apartment, after what a source characterized as a “medical moment.”

Video from the scene appears to show Clinton unable to stand, nearly falling to the ground as Secret Service agents help her get into a waiting van.

According to a rep from her campaign, Clinton was “feeling overheated” and went to rest in her daughter’s apartment. Shortly after, she was photographed waving to photographers and passersby as she exited the apartment, with reps stating she’s now “feeling great.”

“Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and 30 minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen,” reads a statement from the Clinton campaign. “During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.”

Later Sunday, Dr. Lisa R. Bardack revealed more information in a statement: “Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday, during follow-up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia. She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.”

Despite the denials of any lingering health issues, the incident led to an eruption in the Twitterverse, with the hashtag #HillarysHealth quickly trending on Twitter as many — particularly Trump supporters — took Clinton’s collapse to confirm theories that her health is failing.

The Washington Post points out, that thanks to this morning’s incident Clinton’s health is now officially back on the table as a campaign issue.

Talk show host Montel Williams, however, begs to differ, and took to Twitter to write: “More than a little creepy conservatives are cheering on a 70-year-old woman who overheated… no there there.”
