UPDATE: Two more A-listers are set to join the the Coen Brothers’ drama, Hail Caesar. Both Scarlett Johansson and Jonah Hill are in talks to fill out the star-studded cast, which already includes Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes.
Scarlett would play an actress who becomes pregnant just as her film is about to enter into production. Definitely a decent fit performance-wise, given she announced her own pregnancy back in March.
Hail Caesar is expected to begin shooting this fall.
Channing Tatum, Ralph Fiennes, and Tilda Swinton are in negotiations to star in the Coen Brothers’ Hail, Caesar!, the Hollywood Reporter is reporting.
The film tells the story of a “Hollywood fixer”; who is hired by the studios to keep movie stars in line. George Clooney and Josh Brolin have already been cast.
Tatum, it seems, will once again put his dancing skills to good use; his role has been described as “a Gene Kelly-type star.”; The Hollywood Reporter also notes that Fiennes will play a Hollywood studio director while Tilda Swinton will play a powerful gossip columnist.
Fiennes and Swinton previously worked together on Grand Budapest Hotel, a film which every critic at Variety seems to regard as the best of the year so far.
