We already know that Superman will be making a return in the upcoming “Justice League” movie, and now the manager of star Henry Cavill confirms the actor will also be reprising the role yet again in a standalone sequel to “Man of Steel”.
“Henry has a big appetite,” Cavill’s manager, Dany Garcia told Newsweek. “We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he’s filming [“Justice League”] now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone… he’s beginning to expand that world.”
Adds Garcia: “It’s beautifully teed up. In a year from now, or two years from now, he’s going to be a force globally.”
This portends some major expansion in the DC Comics onscreen universe, which includes the recent “Suicide Squad”, “Justice League” and a standalone “Batman” movie starring Ben Affleck, who will also direct.
