This isn’t the first time a celebrity has compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.
“Transparent” creator Jill Soloway tore Trump a new one, while speaking to the press backstage at the Emmys: “He’s otherizing people, he calls women pigs if they don’t look like beauty pageant contestants, he blames Muslims and Mexicans for our problems. He makes fun of disabled people”
She went on to describe him as: “the most dangerous monster to ever approach our lifetime. He’s a complete dangerous monster and at any moment that I have to call him out for being an inheritor of Hitler I will.”
Reality television producer Mark Burnett was also hassled about Trump, after all the two have an interesting relationship. Burnett, who won a 2016 Emmy award for “The Voice”, was also an executive producer for “The Apprentice”.
Burnett was the butt of Jimmy Kimmel’s jokes all night, with the Emmy host quipping: “Thanks to Mark Burnett, we don’t have to watch reality shows anymore because we’re living in one.”
Plus this gem: “That Emmy is going on the hood of Trump’s limousine!”
When asked for his thoughts on Trump, Burnett played it safe: “It’s easy to be a good sport….I’m sure Donald is thrilled, I bet you he’s emailing Jimmy now!”
The 56-year-old television executive continued to dodge questions about the Republican presidential candidate, responding with statements such as: “How much free media can any one person get?” and “I think it’s an example really about how everything is changing whether it’s big business or politics.”
50-year-old Solloway, however, was far more candid: “This is otherizing with a Capital ‘O’…. He needs to be called out.”
