Award-worthy films tend to rear their heads in the fall, and as usual, the Weinstein Co. is keen on having a dog in the race. Hence the hotly-anticipated comedy St. Vincent, starring Bill Murray and Melissa McCarthy (how cool is that one-two punch?).

The premise: Bill takes on the role of Vincent, a crotchety war veteran who befriends his neighbour Maggie’s (Melissa McCarthy) son. And let’s just say he’s not the best influence on the young lad.

St. Vincent has its fair share of A-list supporting players too: everyone from Naomi Watts to Terrence Howard to Chris O’Dowd. The film opens nationwide on October 24. And if the below trailer is any indication, it should be one heck of a romp.
