ET Canada caught up with former “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria as she stepped behind the camera to direct an upcoming episode of “Jane The Virgin”, and it seems a return to Wisteria Lane could be on the horizon. The actress revealed she would jump at the chance to reprise her Golden Globe-nominated role as Gabrielle Solis.

“Of course! Who wouldn’t do it? Oh my god, I love Gabby Solis,” the actress told Matte Babel on the set of her latest directorial turn.

In fact, she added that she’s already discussed the possibility with “Housewives” creator Marc Cherry – but he’s in no rush to revisit the hit drama.

“I’m like, ‘Everybody keeps asking me if we’re gonna reboot ‘Desperate Housewives’.’ He goes, ‘We just got off the air!'”

Still, Longoria is holding out hope. “I would always love to be in Gabby’s shoes again,” she added. “I miss her so much.”

In the meantime, she’s keeping busy with a slew of projects, including her stint directing “Jane”.

“I feel the pressure every time I direct,” she admitted. “I mean, this is a big episode, but I put as much intensity [into] everything I direct as much as this particular episode.”
