Gold Rush‘s James Harness has passed away at the age of 57, THR reports.
The Discovery Channel star had been suffering from intense medical issues including a severe spinal injury following his involvement in a car accident years prior.
The network confirmed the news on Thursday but has yet to release the exact cause of death.
Harness, who was a mechanic on the first and second season of Gold Rush, left the show when complications with his injuries made it impossible for him to keep up with the full production of the show.
