Nike Announces Launch Of Tech-Savvy Nike Mag Shoes

The self-lacing Nike Mag shoes from “Back To The Future Part II” are officially here.

In a video released on Tuesday, Nike CEO Mark Parker announced that the popular footwear brand would be raffling off limited-edition Nike Mag shoes, equipped with individually responsive “power laces,” which were first imagined nearly 30 years ago with the release of the zany sequel in 1989.

“I’m thrilled to announce that Nike has partnered with the Michael J. Fox Foundation once again,” Parker said in a statement. “And this time, we’re hosting a draw where anyone can participate with all proceeds going towards the fight against Parkinson’s.”

The shoes look quite identical to the original pair in the film with speckled grey soles and signature LED lights. With fewer than 100 pairs available globally, interested bidders can purchase an unlimited number of tickets, priced at $10 each from October 4, 2016 to October 11, 2016.

Fox spoke about the new hotly anticipated shoes while appearing on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday morning.
