Clueless writer/director Amy Heckerling is hustling hard to bring Cher Horowitz to Broadway, and it looks like there’s a chance Katy Perry could be along for the ride.

Vulture is reporting that the plan to turn the ’90s comedy classic into a musical is still in the early stages, but Katy has considered participating in the project.

Katy Perry has expressed interest, and I love her to death,“; shared Heckerling who notes that the pop star’s schedule might not accommodate that sort of commitment. (Casting Note: Katy would make a great Tai even though Cher’s the more glamourous role.)

Speaking of Clueless, Heckerling says she’s seen Iggy Azalea’s music video homage to her film and she thinks it’s fantastic.

It looked like they had more money for the video than I had for the movie,“; quipped the filmmaker on the visual accompaniment for “Fancy.”; “But I was extremely flattered and I thought she was amazing. And whoever did the costumes, I don’t know how they did that.
