Caitlyn Jenner is clarifying a social media post that led her to be criticized for apparently being unconcerned with the safety of Kim Kardashian following her harrowing robbery in Paris on Sunday.
Yesterday, the former “I Am Cait” star posted a pic on Instagram of herself and daughter Kylie posing with the original Batmobile, which belongs to ventriloquist Jeff Dunham.
The timing, however, was curious, coming shortly after news of Kardashian’s ordeal had emerged, and numerous commenters slammed Jenner for being so cavalier.
“How is it that everyone else in your ‘family’ is respectful enough not to post trivial s**t hours after Kim is bound and gagged at gunpoint but you post pictures of yourself with a car?” wrote one commenter, adding: “Super classy.”
“Weird to post this after another daughter was just robbed, tied up & gagged at gun point,” another follower wrote. “And I believe she was the first of your children to accept Caitlyn 😕.”
Jenner followed up by posting a photo of Kim, and writing: “Love my girl. After hearing the full story, I’m so thankful she’s OK. It’s a reminder for us all to be careful in the uncertainty of this world.”
