Christian Slater would love to take a permanent seat next to Kelly Ripa, the actor revealed during his appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday.

“I love it, I live about, you know, six blocks away from [the ‘Live with Kelly’ studios,]“ he told DeGeneres. “It’s one of the greatest jobs ever… so yeah, Kelly, I’m available! Let’s do it!”

“I’m putting my hat in the ring,” Slater confirmed before gushing about Ripa. “I love her..she’s amazing.”

Slater, who stars on the USA Network series “Mr. Robot”, insisted he could fit the potential new gig into his schedule. “I can absolutely handle both jobs,” he reassured DeGeneres.
