Alicia Keys is debuting her brand new album, “Here”, on November 4.
The 15-time Grammy award-winning artist, whose new album is available for pre-order now, gave listeners a glimpse of what to expect with the release of her song, “Blended Family (What You Do For Love)” featuring A$AP Rocky.
“My new song ‘Blended Family (What You Do For Love)’ is inspired by my family’s personal journey to cultivate deeper understanding, compassion, support and love,” Keys said of the song co-produced by Mark Batson. “To me, family has no singular definition and the modern family is made up of all kinds of beautiful people willing to put love first.”
Keys’ new songs will follow themes that extend back to the singer’s roots in New York City to hip-hop culture and the human condition. “On this album, I’ve arrived HERE. A place where I’m willing to truthfully look at myself in the mirror and to also see the reality of who we have become in this world. The good, the ugly, the shadows, and the light.”
To promote the release of her album, Keys will perform a free concert for fans from a secret location in her hometown of NYC on Sunday, October 9.
