Donald Trump Apologizes For Vulgar Tape: ‘I’ve Never Said I’m A Perfect Person’

Donald Trump addressed lewd statements he made in leaked audio from 2005 and was uncharacteristically apologetic — for the most part.

The GOP candidate shared his apology on Twitter, admitting to having done things he regrets: “I’ve never said I’m a perfect person, nor pretended to be someone that I’m not. I’ve said and done things I regret, and the words released today on this more-than-a-decade-old video are one of them.”

The 2005 soundbite caught Trump, who had just married Melania, making crude and crass remarks after being turned down by current Entertainment Tonight correspondent Nancy O’Dell: “I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it… I did try and f**k her. She was married,” Trump told former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush.

During yesterday’s statement, the Republican presidential candidate said: “Anyone who knows me knows these words don’t reflect who I am. I said it. I was wrong, and I apologize.”

He did, however, end his apology by taking a shot at the Clintons — saying Bill: “has actually abused women” and “Hillary has bullied, attacked, shamed and intimidated [Bill’s] victims.”
