UPDATE: More details are out surrounding Sandra Bullock’s meeting with alleged stalker Joshua Corbett. TMZ reports that Bullock actually came face-to-face with her stalker during the alleged break-in on June 8.
Initial reports said that the cops were called to Bullock’s residence around 6:30 a.m., but now the outlet is reporting that the Oscar-winning actress faced her assailant as early as 1a.m.
Reportedly Bullock heard a loud banging inside the house around 1 a.m., and after going to her bedroom to close and lock the door, she saw Corbett in the hallway wearing dark clothing. Slamming the door shut, the actress locked it and called 911, telling police she showered before going to bed and that he might have been there the whole time.
Upon being detained by police, Corbett could be heard screaming “Sandy, I’m sorry. Please don’t press charges”; and was carrying a notebook with magazine cutouts of Bullock along with handwritten notes, one of which said, “I will forever be thinking of you and Louie, my son, as you are my wife by law, the law of God and you belong to me and me to you.”;
Corbett forgives Bullock for “anything [she] might have done,”; and compliments her, writing she is “hot, intelligent, lissome and taught [sic].”;
UPDATE: 39-year-old Joshua Corbett was booked on felony burglary and stalking charges, as well as possession of a machine gun. (He did not bring the weapon to the property.) He is currently being held on $150,000 bail.
Decade of Hotness winner Sandra Bullock“s weekend took a turn for the worst when the 49-year-old actress’ house was broken into while she was in it.
“An intruder was arrested on [her] property this morning,”; Sandra’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE exclusively. “She is unharmed and is fine.”;
The Los Angeles Police Department tells ET that they responded to a call at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday morning on Angelo Drive, and took into custody a man in his late ’30s for questioning.
Charges are to be filed shortly. According to NBC News, the case is being classified as a burglary because Bullock was in her home at the time. It is still unclear whether the suspect was a thief or a possible stalker.
On Saturday night, The Heat actress attended the 2014 Guys Choice in Culver City, Calif., and was honored with the Decade of Hotness award.
