As anti-Trump sentiments reach an all-time high, Death Cab for Cutie is taking part in the dialogue by releasing a new song, “Million Dollar Loan”, that hits at the U.S. presidential nominee’s start as a businessman.

Trump, who got his start in the business world thanks to a million dollar loan from his father, often claims to have begun his empire without any help.

Death Cab frontman Ben Gibbard was prompted to pen the song after being “disgusted” by Trump’s behaviour. “Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unworthy of the honour and responsibility of being President of the United States of America, and in no way, shape, or form represents what this country truly stands for,” he said.

The anthem is the first single from the “30 Days, 30 Songs” project that sees one anti-Trump song released every day until the election.

All songs from the project will be available for purchase via iTunes and will be up on Spotify and Apple Music.

All proceeds from the song will be donated to the Centre for Popular Democracy, which champions for universal voter registration.
