Justin Timberlake’s son Silas has a great influence not only on the singer’s personal life, but on his new music too.
Timberlake dropped by the “Today” show to talk about his new Netflix concert film “Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids” – but one kid dominated the discussion. The first-time father admitted that it’s all a learning process raising his 1-year-old: “It changes everything. You literally just wake up… you look in the mirror and go, ‘I have no idea what I’m doing.'”
But little Silas has already impacted his life in a big way. According to Timberlake, fans may never have been gifted with the chart-topping sensation “Can’t Stop the Feeling” otherwise: “I would have never written a song like ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’… I don’t know that it was directly inspired to be something that my son could listen to of mine because there’s a lot of music he can’t listen to of mine—at least not yet.”
And the baby boy has made Timberlake notice just how awesome his wife Jessica Beal is: “You watch her realize she has a gear she didn’t have and then you go, ‘Woah.'”
The popular singer’s new Netflix film is slated for release on Wednesday, October 12.
