UPDATE: Nicole Richie admits she was just goofing around when she told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen that she takes responsibility for bringing together Cameron Diaz and her brother-in-law, Benji Madden.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his morning radio show, Nicole came clean and said she was joking. “Sarcasm and print don’t always go hand in hand,” Nicole told Ruan. “[I’m] kidding, [I’m] not being serious. When the designer, who’s married to Joel Madden, was asked on Watch What Happens Live if she was responsible for bringing the 41-year-old The Other Woman star and 35-year-old Good Charlotte guitarist together, she replied, “Yes, I’m going to take responsibility for everything.”;
The mother of two is thrilled that her matchmaking worked out for her brother-in-law, and told host Andy Cohen, “I approve of anything that’s going to make Benji happy. I’m happy for anyone who is happy, and I want everyone to be surrounded with love.”;
