Corey Feldman felt the cruel sting of social media mockery last month when he and his “Angels” appeared on NBC’s “Today” to perform a song from his new album, with the former “Stand By Me” star experiencing the digital equivalent of being tarred and feathered when Twitter users gleefully goofed on his undeniably weird performance, which included some of the strangest dance moves ever seen on network television.
While Feldman admitted he was surprised and hurt by the explosion of negativity his performance unleashed, he’s apparently picked himself up and dusted himself off to make a return appearance on this morning’s edition of “Today”.
“A lot of people get hate in the beginning, because we’re doing something new,” Feldman said before performing a new song, “Take A Stand”, from his “angelic 2 the Core” double CD.
“But it’s all about innovation and being an artist, and we can’t be afraid to share our art,” he added. “I’m not letting the bullies get to us… This song is for America.” Watch:
