It’s been several years since Zack Morris and the gang entertained us with their high school hijinks on Saved by the Bell, but now Lifetime is set to make a movie about the teen series. Just don’t look for Elizabeth Berkley, who portrayed Jessie Spano on the show, to be checking for it.
“I know nothing about what they are planning,”; the Showgirls star told Us Weekly magazine. “I’m not really curious about it because we know the life we led, and I have no idea what their picture of it is. So who knows!”;
The TV movie will feature the behind-the-scenes drama that went on during the show’s run. Part of the story will be based on Dustin Diamond’s 2009 book, Behind the Bell, which outlined the cast’s alleged drug use and sexual escapades.
