Gaunt, rail-thin, and looking a bit worse for wear–what’s going on with Jake Gyllenhall, AKA the artist formerly known as one of Hollywood’s hunkiest actors?
Not to worry, Jake’s just taking his new role very seriously. In the upcoming movie, Nightcrawler, he plays a down-on-his-luck type who stumbles upon L.A.’s underground crime journalism racket.
The movie also stars Bill Paxton, Rene Russo, and Riz Ahmed, and was directed by Dan Gilroy who wrote Freejack and Chasers, and co-wrote The Bourne Legacy.
A new viral video was released for the film featuring Jake who lost 20 pounds for his role. Watch it in the clip below:
