Corus Entertainment is bringing Canadian food lovers a special treat. Home to six of the top 10 specialty channels in Canada, Corus announced today it is introducing Cooking Channel, a 24-hour food-fuelled lifestyle network launching on December 12, 2016.

Cooking Channel, made by the creators of Food Network, will cover an array of subjects from “global cuisines to international travel, to food history and unconventional how-to’s.” The channel will act as a great pairing to Corus’ already dominant food and lifestyle roster, including HGTV Canada, W Network and Slice, as it takes over W Movies.

“As the interest in food continues to grow, we see the opportunity to add the tremendously successful Cooking Channel brand to our portfolio,” says Barbara Williams, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Corus Entertainment.

Some of the highly-anticipated series confirmed for the launch include “Man Fire Food”, featuring chef Roger Mooking who finds inventive ways to cook with fire, “Dinner at Tiffani’s”, showcasing Tiffani Thiessen as she dines with celebrity friends, and “Cake Hunters”, featuring three cake designers who compete to create the perfect designs for some of the biggest bashes.
