The network television season is in full swing, and we can already identify winners and losers when it comes to the new shows.
According to some number-crunching by Entertainment Weekly, the most-watched new show of the fall TV season is “Bull”, which is the #1 new series in terms of total viewers with an average weekly audience of 16 million.
However, TV ratings are also measured by their performance in the all-important 18-49 demographic, where “This Is Us” is the #1 show, boasting an impressive 3.6 share in the demo (NBC has already picked up the show for a full season).
Other shows that have proven to be strong performers in the demo include Kiefer Sutherland’s “Designated Survivor” (3.4 share), “Kevin Can Wait” (2.8), “Speechless” (2.4) and “Lethal Weapon” (2.4), with “Bull” landing in sixth place when it comes to viewers aged 18-49.
