Dave Chappelle is winning raves for his as “Saturday Night Live” host, but the former star of “Chappelle’s Show” is also being lauded for a performance we didn’t see on TV, taking place at the show’s after-party.
Thanks to The Roots’ Questlove, who shared said performance on Instagram, we get to see what happened at NYC hotspot The Cutting Room when Chappelle took to the stage for an impromptu performance of Radiohead’s hit “Creep”, while “SNL” cast member Leslie Jones boogies onstage alongside him.
“In a life full of highlights? I’m glad I waited til 5:22am for this…” wrote Questlove in the caption accompanying video of the performance.
Speaking of Jones, the “Ghostbusters” star shared a special musical performance as well, when she took to the stage earlier in the evening with Lenny Kravitz (yes, “SNL” after-parties are indeed star-studded affairs) hopping behind the drum kit to back her up. Even she can’t believe it:
In fact, Jones shared even more magical moments from the after-party, featuring special guests Madonna and Bradley Cooper during what she describes as “one of my best nights ever.”
