Jay Z has been immensely interested in Prince’s discography and now that persistence may come back to bite him.
Prince’s NPG Records is reportedly suing Jay Z’s Roc Nation for overstepping an agreement to stream Prince’s music. The report, published by TMZ, says Prince made a deal for Roc Nation to stream his last album before his death, through the streaming service Tidal.
NPG Records reportedly says, however, that Roc Nation allegedly decided to to stream Prince’s entire catalogue this summer without proper permission.
Prince’s label is believed to have said the streaming was not authorized and is now reportedly suing Roc Nation for copyright infringement.
